4. ייעוד המבטח
מבטח מיועד לאחד מאלה:
(1)להגנה בפני זרם העמסת יתר בלבד (Overload Current);
(2)להגנה בפני זרם קצר בלבד (Short Circuit Current);
(3)להגנה בפני זרם יתר (Over Current) – אם הוא מבטח משותף לשני הייעודים שבפסקאות (1) ו־(2).
