המנהל רשאי להכיר כמוסמך לניהול בתי מלון אדם שעמד בבחינות גמר לניהול בתי מלון בבית ספר שהוכר על ידיו, ועבד לפחות שלוש שנים בבית מלון מהן שנתיים בעבודה מעשית ושנה נוספת בתפקיד מינהלי בכיר, או מהן שנה בעבודה מעשית ושנתיים נוספות בתפקיד מינהלי בכיר.
