Muhammad Naama found stand-up in the kitchen of a Tel Aviv comedy club
Muhammad Naama was born in 1989 and grew up in Deir al-Asad in the Galilee, where he studied theatre in high school. After national service at Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv he took a job as a cook at the Camel Comedy Club, and there he saw stand-up for the first time. Comics at the club, Guri Alfi among them, pushed him onto the stage, and with Kobi Hamo he wrote his first show, Du-Kiyum BeTzchok.
He performs in Hebrew and in Arabic, and his material draws on life as an Arab in Israel, prejudice and the meeting of Jews and Arabs. From 2013 his segment on Machar Shabbat, the Channel 1 show of Shmuel Vilozhni and Yaakov Cohen, became the show's most talked-about part and fed his solo show, HaAravi SheYaharog Etchem MiTzchok. In 2019 he toured Israel with Tzvika Hadar, Giora Zinger and Shlomo Shmuel in Tzvika Hadar VeHaKolot HaTzafim.
On screen he has done segments for Mofa Shnot HaShmonim and Milchemet HaMinim, acted in the series Fauda, Tagad and Shnot HaShmonim, and made his film debut in 2016 with a small part in Beyond the Mountains and Hills. In July 2025 he was a guest on Tov SheBatem Im Yigal Gueta on Kan 11. His stand-up shows, one in Hebrew and one in Arabic, are booked through Comedy Bar.
