Mor Chen came to stand-up at 24 and found her first audience with videos she filmed herself

Mor Chen was born in Bat Yam in 1986 and studied acting at the Beit Zvi school from 2008 to 2011. She came to stand-up fairly late: at 24 she went to a stand-up show at Beit Zionei America, realised for the first time that it was a real profession, and in 2011 she began performing on stage herself.

Her first audience came online. With no money for promotion, a manager or an agent, she filmed herself doing stand-up bits with a simple camera, and from 2014 the comedy videos she posted on Facebook were a big success. By 2017 she also had successful stand-up shows and a part in Ran Sarig's Channel 10 series Mesubach, where she played Gabi, a stand-up comedian at the start of her career.

On television she sat on the comedians' panel of the Teen Nick Stand-Up Show from December 2017, took part in the first season of the docu-reality series Yes Man on yes in 2019 and in Reshet 13's stand-up show Comedy Star in 2020, and in 2024 joined Kan 11's Moadon HaStand-Up, where stand-up sets turn into sketches. In December 2024 she took her stand-up on a tour of the United States and Canada.
