Tuna started writing rap as a teenager in Petah Tikva and made it to album of the year
Tuna is the stage name of Itay Oren Zvulun, born in Petah Tikva in 1984. He began writing rap at 16, was part of the hip hop group HaShevet, whose only album came out in 2006, and in 2007 met the producer and guitarist Nir Danan, who has written and produced with him ever since.
His breakthrough came in 2015 with the song Gam Zeh Ya'avor and his debut album of the same name, which won him and Danan ACUM's achievement of the year award. TunaPark followed in 2017, with the hits Yud Aleph 2 and Seharhoret, and his third album, Ve'Achshav La'Helek Ha'Intergalacti, came out in December 2019.
His fourth album, Mizrach Paruah (2021), was named album of the year by Galgalatz and by ACUM. In May 2023 he and Ravid Plotnik sold out six joint shows at Live Park in Rishon LeZion, some 90,000 tickets, and on 30 May 2025 he released two albums on the same day, Rovim VeTaltalim and Rap Metoraph.
