A steakhouse of dry-aged beef and cuts on the bone in Herzliya Pituach's business zone, the larger sister of the MeatBar that two brothers opened in Tel Aviv in 1994
MeatBar is a steakhouse on HaSadnaot Street, in the middle of Herzliya Pituach's industrial and business zone; ynet reported in May 2026 that the new Metro hotel had opened opposite it. Two brothers founded MeatBar in Tel Aviv in late 1994 to bring the classic steakhouse to Israel, and by its own account it was the first restaurant in the country to dry-age its own steaks; the Tel Aviv restaurant is on Sderot Hen. Its booking page calls the Herzliya restaurant the big sister of the Tel Aviv original and says it opened in 2008, as mako also wrote in 2018; mako in 2022 and PassportNews in 2023 gave 2014. By its own account the meat is handled in-house from the butchering on: local beef, from heifers by its menu, chosen for its marbling, dry-aged for about 30 days, and for about 45 for special cuts, and grilled in an oven brought from the United States, identical to the one at Peter Luger in New York. The cuts on the bone, New York, T-bone, porterhouse and prime rib, are sold by weight, and mako wrote in 2022 that they can weigh more than a kilo; beside them are sirloin, entrecôte and fillet steaks, lamb chops, chorizo made in-house, burgers, fish and salads. The wine list changes with the wines it likes best at the moment and includes aged Israeli bottles; for MeatBar's 30th anniversary, in spring 2025, it launched a limited series with the Galil Mountain winery. mako described a large bar in the middle of the room, for a lighter visit, and a private room for intimate meals. It is open every day from noon to 23:00, Saturday included, and on its lunch menu a main course comes with bread, a starter and a drink. The group, about 400 staff by its account, also runs the MeatBar Burger bars, one of them on Maskit Street in Herzliya, and the Nextdoor bar in Tel Aviv. Rest's 2026 list of Herzliya's luxury restaurants singled out the Herzliya branch as especially successful, and PassportNews called MeatBar the oldest culinary institution on its 2023 list of five Herzliya restaurants worth knowing.

At lunch a main course comes with bread and butter, a green salad or the soup, and a soda or lemonade, at the main's own price: a schnitzel at 86 shekels, a chicken breast at 84, chorizo sausages at 98, salmon at 132, sea bass at 147. Cuts on the bone come with a starter of carpaccio, chicken liver terrine, egg salad or the MeatBar salad. The menu gives no days or hours for it.
