The first branch of Caffit, the kosher dairy café chain born on Emek Refaim Street in the German Colony in 1987.

Caffit opened its first branch in the heart of Jerusalem's German Colony in 1987, and this branch at 36 Emek Refaim Street is still the chain's flagship. The chain now has four branches in and around Jerusalem: here, at the Botanical Garden, at Agam Adumim in Ma'ale Adumim and at Anava Park in Modiin. Its site promises personal service in a homely atmosphere and a rich dairy menu, with old favourites such as its Orgento salad beside newer dishes that bring together Jerusalem and Israeli flavours. The branch is kosher under the Jerusalem Rabbinate, has a private room for events, and delivers by phone and through its own site.
