Josef Burger Bar opened in the summer of 2013 and comes from the house of Hatzot, the Agripas Street grill restaurant open since 1970; its site says the family, in the meat trade for more than 48 years, decided to open a kosher place with the burger at its centre. The burgers are ground from Angus cuts, seasoned the house way and served in a bun seared just before serving, and the menu also has chicken and vegan burgers, wings and salads. It pours alcohol, beers and cocktails, and its site says that being by Mahane Yehuda market gives it a colourful atmosphere and the best of the market's produce. It takes table bookings, takeaway and delivery orders, and hosts events.
