A kosher dairy Italian restaurant in a historic stone building on Music Square in Nahalat Shiva, with live music playing in its courtyard.

Piccolino is a kosher lemehadrin dairy Italian restaurant in a historic stone building on Music Square, in the lanes of Nahalat Shiva. Its site says it is owned by a Jerusalem family and that three generations of the family work in it. Breakfasts with Italian coffee are served in the morning, and at lunch and in the evening the kitchen sends out fresh pasta, pizzas and focaccia from a stone oven, fish and desserts; the pizzas can be made with vegan cheese. Live music plays through the day and the evening in the courtyard on the square, and there are private rooms for events. The restaurant employs new immigrants and people with disabilities, and its site says that every Friday it opens its doors to soldiers free of charge. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 to 22:00 and on Friday from 9:00 to 15:00.
