Red Heifer Steakhouse was established in 1999 and now sits in the King David's Crown compound at 26 King David Street, across from the King David Hotel and a short walk from Mamilla and the Old City. It has two dining rooms, one of them kept for private events, and a wide outdoor space. Its site says all the beef is hormone-free and that the steaks are aged for 28 days in its own aging facility; the menu centres on rib eye by weight, filet mignon, short ribs and a burger of freshly ground ribeye, with starters such as beef carpaccio and chopped chicken liver.
