Bar Italia is an Italian brasserie at the West Lagoon hotel on Oved Ben Ami Boulevard, on Netanya's southern seafront, facing the beach. Restaurateur Shimi Schwartz and chef Shahar Barnea, the owners of Pomo in Tel Aviv's Ramat HaHayal, opened it on 21 June 2020, and its website calls it Pomo's little sister; mako counts it among the pair's four Italian restaurants, with Pomo, Capri at Glilot and Cafe Napo in Kiryat Ono. Barnea still leads the kitchen, by its website's account. When it opened, mako and Walla described a large room built around a big bar and a taboon, with marble and wood, big tables for groups and huge windows onto the street. It says its pastas and pizzas are made by hand and its pizza dough rises slowly for three days, and its menu carries Pomo's best-loved dishes, among them the Pomo salad of tomatoes, olives, focaccia and buffalo mozzarella. In October 2025 mako picked its butcher's gnocchi, with sirloin, charred tomatoes, onion, butter and demi-glace, as the dish to eat in Netanya in its list of 30 dishes in 30 cities, and a month earlier mako's list of the best Italian restaurants of 2025 called Bar Italia one of the best restaurants in Netanya. In April 2025 mako's Lin Levi named it, with Ni-Shi and Maree, among the handful of groundbreaking places in the city, all far from the centre; Ni-Shi, its neighbour in the hotel, belongs to another group, the Kiso group, as mako wrote then and in January 2023. Haaretz's critic Sagi Cohen headlined his review of March 2022 that Bar Italia succeeds where so many other restaurants fail, and called it remarkably balanced. It serves business lunches from Sunday to Thursday between 12:00 and 17:00, opens every day including Friday and Saturday, and stays open until midnight on Thursday and Saturday.

Business lunches are served from Sunday to Thursday, 12:00 to 17:00, except on holidays. Tabit and Wolt take orders until 23:30 on Thursday and Saturday and until 23:00 on the other days; those are ordering hours. Its listing on d.co.il gives Sunday to Thursday 17:00 to 23:00 and Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 23:00, and the press at its opening in June 2020 gave every day from 12:00 until the last guest leaves.
