A large fish and seafood restaurant in the new industrial zone of western Rishon LeZion, since 2024 the new home of the city's veteran Fish, with a separate bar, a wine wall and private rooms

Fish Royal is a fish and seafood restaurant at 4 Paul Gruninger Street, in the new industrial zone on the western edge of Rishon LeZion. It is the third home of Fish, the restaurant of Davis David: as he told ynet in June 2024, Fish opened in 1999 in a building facing the sea on the city's beach, moved twelve years later, when he and his partners lost the tender there, to the western industrial zone, and when that lease ended reopened a short distance away, in a new building, after five years of work on the project, under its new name. mako and mynet put the opening about a year before February 2025. David, who started out in the 1980s with a family pizzeria, Pizza Parliament, on the city's pedestrian mall and later managed Sea Bass in Tel Aviv, is one of its owners and, in ynet's words, the face of the place, there every day. The kitchen is led by chef Hai Gil Montesinos, who by mako's account worked alongside Yonatan Roshfeld at Herbert Samuel and alongside Tomer Tal, and who, mynet wrote, makes all of its desserts himself. The rooms were designed by Gad Halperin's studio, which writes on the restaurant's website that it divided the space into four areas, after the four points of the compass, with paths between them, designed the lights for the restaurant, kept to few materials in one tone and gave the bar a space of its own; ynet described a bar to the right of the entrance, a large wine wall and two private rooms, and mynet counted about 150 diners. The evening menu its website published in September 2026 runs from fluffy bread rolls, ikra and fried calamari to red tuna tartare, a fish cigar with tahini, a fish kebab, sea fish fillet on mafaldine, fried red mullet, a seafood pan, whole sea bream from the stone oven and wild sea fish by weight, with sushi rolls, an entrecôte, a beef fillet and a burger, and eight desserts, among them its own malabi. From Sunday to Thursday it serves a business lunch until 17:00 and a happy hour at the bar from 17:00 to 19:00, and it is open every day, Friday and Saturday included. Walla's Yaniv Granot called it a wonderful restaurant worth a special trip in April 2025 and put it sixth on his list of the ten restaurants most worth going to that July; mako's Lin Levi wrote in February 2025 that it is a restaurant like they used to be, with no open kitchen and no sharing plates, and Israel Hayom, in its five Rishon LeZion picks of June 2025, described an old-school evening out for which one books ahead and dresses up. Walla's critic Avi Efrati, in a more reserved review in May 2025, praised its generous portions, friendly service and sane prices. Its chef also wrote the food menu of Vin, a wine bar in Herzliya that Debbest listed among the openings of September 2026.

Sources disagree on these hours

Its website prints no opening hours. Its booking page on Tabit, which its website links, has it open from 12:00 to 23:00 every day of the week, in a schedule last changed on 30 June 2026, and its Google listing, as Wanderlog copies it, gives the same. Its page on Ontopo gives the same hours, with the business lunch served from 12:00 to 17:00 from Sunday to Thursday. mako in February 2025 and Israel Hayom in June 2025 printed Sunday to Saturday, 12:00 to 23:00. Its listing on d.co.il gives Sunday to Thursday 7:30 to 19:30 and Friday 9:00 to 13:00, which are not the restaurant's hours.
