Luciana began in 2008 as an Italian restaurant that three Jerusalem entrepreneurs opened on Emek Refaim Street; it later moved to its flagship in a restored building on Mamilla Boulevard, and the chain has branches in Jerusalem, Modiin, Mevaseret Zion and Be'er Sheva, Maariv reported. The Rishon LeZion restaurant, the chain's first in the centre of the country and its largest, opened on 25 November 2025 at 2 Lehi Street, in the city's new industrial zone, with about 800 square metres and 276 seats. It was opened by a group of restaurateurs that includes the singer Eden Ben Zaken and her husband, the businessman Shuki Biton, with an investment of more than 10 million shekels, according to Walla, Maariv and mako. The kitchen is Italian and dairy: its own site says the pasta is made fresh every day and every ravioli is closed by hand, and the menu runs from focaccia, arancini and burrata through tagliatelle and spaghetti, pizzas from the taboon and the chef's agnolotti, tortellini and mushroom risotto to salmon, drum fish and a whole fish baked in the taboon. The bar pours a list of cocktails named after Italian film actresses, from Sophia Loren to Monica Bellucci. ynet's critic described a large, lavish room with carpets, sofas beside the tables, a bar with a display of desserts, low lighting and a sizeable outdoor area, set more for a bar or club night than for a classic restaurant, and Israel Hayom counted it among the promising openings of the year, with its Italian kitchen, night-out atmosphere, drinks and lavish design. Its booking page offers tables and bar seats inside and outside, and a DJ plays on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. In March 2026, mako reported, it began opening every day from noon, with 15% off the menu until 17:00. It takes events of up to 300 guests and has a private room for 70 with a projector.

Sources disagree on these hours
Its website gives Sunday to Thursday 12:00 to midnight and Saturday night 19:30 to midnight, and says nothing about Friday. Its table-booking schedule on Tabit, last changed in February 2026, has 11:00 to 00:30 from Sunday to Thursday, Friday 11:00 to 14:00 and Saturday 18:30 to 00:30, and takes bookings for Friday midday and for Saturday night from 20:00. Rest lists evenings only: 18:00 to midnight from Sunday to Tuesday, 18:00 to 01:00 on Wednesday and Thursday and 19:30 to 01:00 on Saturday. The press at its opening in November 2025 gave Sunday to Thursday and Saturday night, and mako reported on 12 March 2026 that it had started opening every day from 12:00. Only the booking schedule has it open on Friday, so Friday is not confirmed.
