A craft brewery in the commercial centre of Srigim (Li-On), in the Elah Valley, whose beer garden pours its own beers on Fridays and Saturdays
Srigim Brewery was founded at the end of 2011 by Ofer Ronen and Ohad Ilon, two home brewers from the high-tech world whose beers had won first places at the Longshot competitions in 2009 and 2010. It brews two series: Emek HaEla, classic European styles such as a Belgian tripel, an Irish red, an English blonde and a Bavarian wheat, and Ronen, richer American-style boutique beers; its site counts 10 beers and 8 medals. On Fridays and Saturdays the visitor centre becomes a beer garden with self-service seating indoors and out, eight fresh beers from the tap, free tastings and food to go with them, such as veal or chicken sausages, chips, schnitzel bites and Greek-style shawarma, with children's dishes and flavoured gazoz. On weekdays it hosts groups of 10 or more for a tour of about an hour among the brewing kettles and fermentation tanks with a guided tasting of 5 to 8 beers, and it can seat up to 100 people.
