A kosher restaurant of home cooking on Ibn Gabirol Street, with stews, grilled meats and a ready-food fair on Thursdays and Fridays

Chuma is a kosher meat restaurant at 71 Ibn Gabirol Street that specialises, in its own words, in the cooking of Israel's many communities and in homely food that warms the heart. Its site says it was born from the wish to bring back the traditional stews, family dishes and meats from the grill that everyone grew up on, for people in Tel Aviv who live far from their parents' homes. Every Thursday and Friday it holds a ready-food fair of mains, salads, pastries and desserts to take home, and it also caters family gatherings and larger events. From Sunday to Thursday it is open from 10:00 to 20:30.
