A Greek and Balkan restaurant on Carlebach Street that traces its story to 1932

Olympus is, by its site's account, a Greek and Balkan restaurant from 1932. The site tells how Shlomo Strumza, Salomon to the Salonikans, opened the original Olympus that year at the corner of HaKishon and Levinsky streets and went on cooking there in his old age, and how partners, cooks and waiters who left it opened other Balkan restaurants around the city. Today it stands on Carlebach Street, and its site says its kitchen has no chefs and no publicists, only cooks who know what they are doing. It serves lunch: stuffed vegetables, mezze, pies, and meat from the grill and the oven. It is open on Saturday and closed on Friday.
