Saint George was founded in 2013 by the third generation of restaurateurs in the Shweiri family, one of the old and well-known families of Jaffa. Its site puts it about 200 metres from the sea, in the heart of Old Jaffa. Its booking page says it sits in a stone house and builds its dishes on fresh fish, and that about 20 house salads, made on the spot every day, are served without limit. It takes table bookings every day, hosts events and catering for 20 people or more, and delivers within two kilometres of the restaurant.
