Adam Tzin was born in 1950 in Katowice

Adam Tzin was born in Katowice, Poland, to parents who survived the Holocaust. His family moved to Israel in 1957 and settled in Beersheba. He was religiously observant.

He attended the Netivot elementary school in Beersheba. He then studied mechanics at the Kiryat Noar vocational yeshiva high school in Jerusalem.

He was drafted in the summer of 1969 and served in the Nahal reconnaissance unit. He completed squad commander and parachuting courses and trained in tank skills in the Armored Corps. Part of his service was at a farm in the southern Golan Heights, where he was in charge of security.

After his discharge he married and lived with his wife in Bnei Yehuda in the Golan Heights, and later in Jerusalem. There he worked as a vocational instructor at the Ministry of Labor. He held religious Zionist views and supported the founding of settlements.

When the Yom Kippur War began he was not called up but volunteered for an armored infantry unit sent to Sinai. On 21 October 1973 his armored personnel carrier was hit by 2 antitank missiles near the Suez Canal. He pulled wounded comrades out of the burning vehicle until he was hit and killed, and he was buried on Mount Herzl.
