After some years in the diamond trade, he began working for the Ramat Gan municipality in 1964. In 1971 he led a delegation to Malawi and helped set up a local youth movement, and changed his name to Inbar. In 1978 he became commander of the Ramat Gan fire station, a post he held during the Gulf War.

From 1994 he worked on the team that founded Modiin until he retired in 2000. He chaired the Maccabiah safety committee from 1977 and later headed the Maccabi Order. He was married to Hana and had 3 children, and he died in January 2016.
