Guy Levy was born in 1976 in Noga

Guy Levy was born in 1976 and grew up in Moshav Noga in the Lachish region.

He joined the IDF in 1995, volunteered for the Paratroopers and served in Battalion 101 as a platoon and company commander. He later led the Paratroopers anti-tank company in the Second Intifada, commanded Battalion 890, the Hadas battalion at Bahad 1, and the Maglan unit.

From 2014 he commanded Brigade 55 and later also the Lachish territorial brigade. He headed the Operational Planning Department in the Operations Directorate and in 2019 became commander of Bahad 1.

In 2021 he was promoted to brigadier general and became Chief Infantry and Paratroopers Officer. In 2024 he took command of the Fire Formation and led it in the ground maneuver in Lebanon during the Swords of Iron war.

He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and business administration from Ben-Gurion University and a master's degree in political science and strategy from the University of Haifa. He lives in Meitar, is married and has 4 children.
