Haim Moshe was born in 1955 in Ramat HaSharon

Haim Moshe was born on 20 September 1955 in Ramat HaSharon to a family of Yemenite Jews. His father hoped he would become a rabbi like his grandfather. As a child he sang religious music and also Greek, Turkish and Arabic songs at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.

He studied for one year at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school and then worked in a print shop. He joined the IDF in the 1970s.

In the mid-1970s he formed the band Tzliley Ha-Kerem with Daklon and guitarist Moshe Ben-Mosh, playing clubs and weddings. Their cassettes were sold by the Reuveni brothers as part of what was called cassette tape music. The band broke up in 1982.

His first solo album came out in 1979. His 1983 album Ahavat Hayay sold 200,000 copies and included Linda, sung in Arabic, which won him listeners in Arab countries. From the mid-1980s he added more songs of the Land of Israel, which widened his audience but drew criticism that he was leaving his Mizrahi roots.

His song Pictures in an Album was named Song of the Year at the 1999 Golden Feather Awards. He released Karov LaLev in 2008. In 2010 an explosive device was thrown at his home, with no reported injuries.
