Ido Kass was born in 1985 in Kfar Bilu

Ido Kass was born in 1985 and grew up in Kfar Bilu.

He joined the IDF and volunteered for Shayetet 13. After his combat training and operational service, he completed an infantry officers' course. He then held a series of command and staff roles in the unit, including commander of a fighters' company, and served as its deputy commander from 2020 to 2021.

He was then named head of the office of Chief of General Staff Aviv Kochavi, and later served Herzi Halevi in the same role. On September 4, 2023, he became commander of the Fire Arrows Formation.

He led the brigade in the Gaza war, where it fought in northern Gaza around Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya and later in the Jabalia refugee camp. As part of the inquiries into October 7, he headed the team that examined the battle at the Nahal Oz outpost.
