Yoni Bloch was born in 1981 in Beersheba

Bloch was born in Beersheba in 1981 and grew up there. At 17 he moved with his family to Lehavim. He learned piano as a child, taught himself guitar and drums, began writing songs at 14, and learned programming on a Commodore 64.

At 18 he joined the academic reserve track and studied behavioral sciences at Ben-Gurion University, leaving after 1 year. He then served in the Israeli Air Force band.

He started out by posting songs on the website Bama Hadasha, where the daughter of the NMC record company head heard them, and his songs soon reached radio. He released the albums Ulay Ze Ani in 2004, Hergelim Ra'im in 2007 and Al Mi Ani Oved in 2008. He also composed theme songs for TV series and was a guest judge on Kochav Nolad.

In 2009 he founded the interactive video company Interlude with Tal Zubalsky and Barak Feldman, which let viewers choose how a story unfolds. In 2016 the company was renamed Eko. In 2018 Walmart and Eko announced a joint venture led by Bloch.
