Section 3 of כללי חסינות חברי הכנסת, זכויותיהם וחובותיהם (השתתפות בהוצאות משפטיות), התשס״ג–2003, הועדה הציבורית.
3. הועדה הציבורית
(א)יושב ראש הכנסת יפרסם ברשומות הודעה על מינוי הועדה הציבורית, הרכבה וכל שינוי בה.
(ב)מינוי חבר לועדה הציבורית יהיה לתקופה של שלוש שנים מיום פרסום המינוי ברשומות, וניתן לשוב ולמנותו לתקופה נוספת אחת שלא תעלה על שלוש שנים.
(ג)יושב ראש הכנסת יקבע הוראות בדבר תשלום גמול לחברי הועדה הציבורית.
