8. ידע תעופתי עדכני
לא יטיס אדם כטב״ם קטן, למעט כאמור בתקנה 2(א)(2), ולא ישמש אדם בתפקיד מטיס–מפקד, אלא אם כן עבר בהצלחה מבחן שנערך ב־24 החודשים שקדמו לטיסה, שהוא אחד מאלה, לפי העניין:
(1)מבחן ראשוני בידע תעופתי שערך לו המנהל בנושאים כמפורט בתקנה 5(א);
(2)מבחן תקופתי בידע תעופתי שערך לו המנהל בנושאים כמפורט בתקנה 5(ב).
