הוראות סעיף 50 לחוק שירות המדינה (גמלאות) [נוסח משולב], התש״ל–1970, וסעיף 57 לחוק שירות הקבע בצבא הגנה לישראל (גמלאות) [נוסח משולב], התשמ״ה–1985, כנוסחם בחוק זה, יחולו גם לגבי מי שביום פרסומו של חוק זה טרם חלפו ארבע שנים מיום שנולדה עילת התביעה לגמלה המגיעה לשאיר לפי אותו סעיף, לפי העניין.
