על ביצוע חיפוש, תפיסת חפץ וחדירה לחומר מחשב או העתקתו לפי סימן זה, יחולו הוראות סעיפים 23א, 24(א)(1) ו־(ב), 26 עד 28, 31, 32א עד 42 ו־45 לפקודת מעצר וחיפוש, בשינויים המחויבים, ובשינויים אלה: הסמכויות הנתונות לשוטר יהיו נתונות למפקח והסמכויות הנתונות לקצין יהיו נתונות לראש הרשות או למפקח שהוא הסמיך לכך.
