73. משך העיכוב
תיקון: תשנ״ז
(א)לא יעוכב אדם או כלי רכב מעל לזמן סביר הדרוש, בנסיבות המקרה, לביצוע הפעולה שלשמה הוקנתה סמכות העיכוב.
(ב)בכל מקרה, לא יעוכב אדם או כלי רכב לפרק זמן העולה על שלוש שעות; ואולם בעיכוב הקשור למספר רב של מעורבים, רשאי הקצין הממונה להאריך את משך העיכוב לפרק זמן נוסף שלא יעלה על שלוש שעות נוספות, מנימוקים שיירשמו.
