בהתאם לסעיף 18א(א) לפקודת סדרי השלטון והמשפט, התש״ח–1948, מודיעים בזה כי הממשלה, בישיבתה מיום כ״ז באייר התשי״ד (30 במאי 1954), החליטה לקבוע את החגים המפורטים להלן כימי מנוחה לשאינם יהודים:

חג המולד (שני ימים)
ראש השנה
התגלות
יום ששי לפני פסחא
יום שני לפסחא
עליה שמימה
יום שני לשבועות

הראשון במוחרם (ראש השנה)

חג אל־פיטר
חג אל־אדחה
