שופט בקדם־משפט רשאי, ביזמתו או לפי בקשת בעל דין, להורות שבעלי הדין, או מי שהוזמן להתייצב לפי תקנה 147, יעידו בפניו בשאלות השנויות במחלוקת ביניהם, או בחלק מהן.
