19. הארכת שירות בשעת חירום
(א)השר רשאי להורות בצו לעכב, לתקופה שהיא לדעתו שעת חירום, כל שוטר, או סוג או הגדר אחר של שוטרים, אף על פי שתמה תקופת שירותם, ולהאריך שירותם לתקופת החירום.
(ב)שירותו של שוטר בתוקף צו כאמור יראו כחלק מתקופת ההתקשרות ולפי זה יחולו הוראותיה של ההתקשרות – למעט ההוראות הקובעות את תקופתה – והוראות פקודה זו.
