תיקון: תשנ״ב, תשע״ט, תשפ״א, ק״ת תשפ״ב
(א)לענין סעיף 1 לחוק האזנת סתר, התשל״ט–1979, יראו את מנהל המחלקה ובהעדרו – את ממלא מקומו, כקצין משטרה מוסמך.
(ב)לענין סעיף 19(ג) לחוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ״א–1981, יראו את המחלקה כרשות בטחון.
