השר ושר העבודה רשאים, בהסכמת ועדת העבודה של הכנסת, לקבוע תקופות מנוחה מינימליות לאנשי צוות, בין דרך כלל ובין לפי סוגים של כלי שיט, של הפלגות או של הובלות ובין לפי תפקידים שונים של אנשי צוות בכלי שיט.
