תיקון: תשס״ח־2, תשפ״ב, תשפ״ג
השר, בהתייעצות עם שר המשפטים ובאישור הוועדה לביטחון לאומי של הכנסת, רשאי להעביר את נציב הקבילות מתפקידו לפני תום תקופת כהונתו, אם נבצר ממנו למלא את תפקידיו במשך תקופה העולה על שישה חודשים רצופים.
