1. הגדרות
בחוק זה –
”נכס עזוב“ – נכס שנתקיימו בו אלה:
(1)לא נמצא מי שרשאי ומסוגל לנהוג בו מנהג בעלים או לנהלו, או שבעלו אינו ידוע;
(2)הנכס נמצא בארץ, ובנכס של אזרח ישראלי, של תושב ישראל, או של תאגיד הרשום בישראל או שהוקם בה – גם נכס שנמצא בחוץ לארץ;
”מעונין“ בנכס עזוב – מי שיש לו זכות באותו נכס או זיקה קיימת או צפויה בו, לרבות נושה של אדם כזה;
”בית משפט“ – בית משפט מחוזי;
”צו ניהול“ – צו לפי סעיף 6(א).
