מי שהוזמן להשיב על תביעה שהוגשה נגדו או לטעון לתביעה שהגיש או שהוזמן להעיד ולא התייצב או נצטווה להמציא מסמך ולא המציאו, יחולו לגביו הוראות סעיף 4 לחוק בתי־דין דתיים (כפיית ציות), התשט״ז–1956.
