קובל רשאי, במועדים שיקבע, לדרוש מהמתלונן או מהנאשם פרטים נוספים לתלונה או לתשובה, לפי הענין, אם ראה צורך בדבר להבהרת ענין המתעורר בהן, וכן רשאי הוא לדרוש מהמתלונן או מהנאשם ראיות לאימות פרטי התלונה או התשובה.
