טייס לא יבצע גישה ונחיתה בתהליכי טיסת מכשירים אם מינימת הנחיתה בשדה יעד באותו שדה קטנה מ־800 מטר ראות מזערית, אלא אם כן יש לו מידע מטאורולוגי בדבר טווח ראות על מסלול (RVR).
