תיקון: תשמ״ב, תשפ״ג
נוסף על כל סימון הנדרש לפי הוראות פרק זה, פריט חיוני (Critical part) יסומן בסימון בר־קיימא וקריא הכולל את המספר הסידורי הייחודי של אותו פריט; בתקנה זו – ”פריט חיוני“ – פריט שנקבעו לגביו בפרק ”הגבלות כושר טיסה“ (Airworthiness Limitations) בספר התחזוקה של היצרן (Manufacturer's maintenance manual) או בהוראות לעניין כשירות אווירית נמשכת (Instructions for Continued Airworthiness), מועדי החלפה (Replacement time), פרקי זמן לביקורת (Inspection interval) או הוראות אחרות הנוגעות להחלפה או לביקורת.
