ביחס לאניה המגיעה לנמל ישראלי בתוך ארבעה עשר יום מיום הפליגה מאזור שבה פרצה מחלת אבעבועות אפידימית, רשאית רשות ההסגר עפ״י שקול דעתה לאחוז בכל אותם האמצעים שתמצא צורך בהן, לאחר הורדת הנוסעים, כדי להטיל פיקוח על באי האניה הזאת, ואפילו לא נתגלה באניה כל מקרה אבעבועות.
