בידוד תרמי של המרחב המוגן הקומתי לא ייעשה בתוך הקיר, אלא מחוץ לקיר או פנימה לו, זולת אם אישרה רשות מוסמכת התקנת בידוד תרמי בתוך הקיר במרחב המוגן.
