7. פקידי ממשלה
פקידי ממשלה, לרבות שוטרים שנתקיימו בהם תנאי הסעיפים 4 ו־5 לפקודה זו, רשאים לבחור ולהיבחר, אולם משנכלל שמו של פקיד ממשלתי באחת מרשימות המועמדים, תופסק עבודתו בממשלה מיום פרסום הרשימה על ידי ועדת הבחירות המרכזית עד מועד הבחירות, ואם נבחר – עד שחדל מהיות ציר באספה המכוננת.
