Daniel Salomon was a classically trained pianist from Haifa before he joined Aviv Geffen's band
Daniel Salomon was born and raised in Haifa. He began playing the piano at five and writing songs at twelve, studied classical music in Haifa and at the Rimon School of Music, and studied composition and orchestration with Professor Yitzhak Sadai. In 1998 he met Aviv Geffen, arranged his songs for string quartet and piano, and later joined his backing band on keyboards.
His self-titled debut album came out in 2002 with the hits Adif and Ba MiKe'ev and won him ACUM's Golden Feather as best composer. Rabot HaDrachim followed in 2005, with Ahava and the title duet with Dana Adini, and went gold in 2006. Haifa 87 (2007) brought the hit Hayitachen, and Geut came out in 2010.
He has written music for theatre, film and television, including the score of Avi Nesher's film The Secrets and the theme song of the series Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, and has produced albums for Shlomo Artzi, Israel Gurion and Sheila Ferber. His album Kacha Ze Achshav came out in 2025, and in April that year he shared the stage with Dana Adini at Gray in Tel Aviv.
