Eli Luzon wrote his own breakthrough hit, Eizo Medina, with Yoni Roeh at the age of 20
Eli Luzon was born and raised in Netanya and began singing on stage at a young age. In 1986 Eizo Medina, which he wrote and composed with Yoni Roeh, became a huge hit across audiences and led to his debut album that year, whose songs he arranged with Moshe Ben-Mosh and Arie Berkowitz.
His third album, HaShtika (1991), brought Yeled Gadol, by Avihu Medina and Moshe Ben-Mosh, which is still one of the songs most identified with him. In 1995 he came fourth in Israel's Eurovision pre-selection with Malachi HaKatan, and his 1997 cover of Benzin's Geshem, recorded for the film Afula Express, became another of his signature songs.
In 2001 he sang Lagaat BaOsher, the theme of the daily telenovela of the same name, and in 2010 he created the show Opera Ba'Lafa with Felix Livshitz and Boris Yerofeyev, lead soloists of the New Israeli Opera. His tenth album, Derech Chadasha, came out in 2014 and returned to the Turkish style of his first records.
