Haim began as three sisters playing covers in their parents' band

Haim is a rock band from Los Angeles made up of three sisters: Este Haim on bass, Danielle Haim on lead vocals and guitar, and Alana Haim on guitar and keyboards. As children they played cover songs in Rockinhaim, a family band led by their parents, and in 2007 they formed Haim.

Danielle toured as a guitarist with Jenny Lewis and Julian Casablancas, and in 2012 the sisters made Haim a full-time band. Their first album, Days Are Gone (2013), went to No. 1 in the UK and brought a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

Women in Music Pt. III (2020) also topped the UK chart and made them the first all-female rock band nominated for the Grammy for Album of the Year. Their fourth album, I Quit, came out in June 2025.
