Harel Skaat came second on Kokhav Nolad and went on to sing for Israel at Eurovision
Harel Skaat was born in Kfar Saba in 1981, and at six he won a children's song festival in his hometown. He sang in the Signal Corps army band, and in 2004 he reached the final of the second season of Kokhav Nolad and finished second.
His debut album, Harel Skaat (2006), went gold within a month and later platinum, and its ballad Ve'at, written by Keren Peles, was song of the year on Galgalatz and Reshet Gimel. In 2010 he represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo with Milim, finished 14th in the final and won all three Marcel Bezençon Awards.
Shuv Me'ushar (2012) made him Reshet Gimel's singer of the year again, and from 2014 to 2019 he was a judge on HaKokhav HaBa L'Eurovision. On stage he has played Marius in Les Misérables at Habima and Phileas Fogg in Around the World in 80 Days, and his fifth album, Chelek Bet, came out in November 2024.
