Idan Amedi sang a song of his own at his Kokhav Nolad audition and went on to six albums and Fauda
Idan Amedi was born in Jerusalem in 1988. He became known in 2010 on the eighth season of Kokhav Nolad, auditioning with Ke'ev Shel Lochamim, a song he had written and composed himself, and reaching the final, where he finished second. Released as his first single, the song went to number one on Galgalatz and Reshet Gimel and was named song of the year.
His debut album, Idan Amedi (2011), and Bazman HaAcharon (2013) both went gold, and with Nigmar he won song of the year again, along with singer of the year, on Reshet Gimel's annual chart. Kol Zikaron Yashan (2014) spent a whole month at number one on Galgalatz, and Chelek MeHazman (2017), whose title song he first wrote for Rita, went platinum.
In 2017 he joined the cast of Fauda as Sagi Tzur, playing him in seasons two to four, and a new version of his song Menasim became the theme of the second season. In 2024 he starred opposite Tali Sharon in the film Highway 65 and was nominated for the Ophir Award for best actor, and his sixth studio album, Superman, came out in January 2025.
