Infected Mushroom took Israeli psytrance from Haifa to the world's biggest festivals
Infected Mushroom is Erez Eisen and Amit "Duvdev" Duvdevani, who began making music together in Haifa in 1996. Their psytrance mixes acoustic guitars and piano with heavy synthesized bass and sudden changes of tempo, and they are among the best-selling acts in the history of Israeli music, at home and abroad.
Their first album, The Gathering (1999), was one of the first to bring Israeli psytrance to a mainstream audience. In 2004 they moved from Haifa to a studio in Los Angeles, and IM the Supervisor, released that year, became their best-selling album.
They play around 120 shows a year, with live vocals and instruments against a multimedia backdrop, and have played Ultra in Miami, Coachella and Burning Man. Their latest album, IM30, came out on 30 January 2026.
