Maya Bouskilla went from a young talent contest to singer of the year in 2004

Maya Bouskilla was born in Netanya in 1977 and sang in Educational Television's young talent contest Kolot VeTzlilim in 1992 and 1994. Her breakthrough came in November 2003 with the radio single Yesh BeLibi Kinor, which also brought her to television for the first time.

Her debut album, Sipur Machur (2004), went gold within three weeks. Its single HaLev topped the Galgalatz chart and spent close to twenty weeks on the Reshet Gimel chart, and she was named singer of the year on the annual Hebrew song chart for 2004. Yamim Shel Ahava (2006), Shoveret Shtika (2008) and Noshemet (2016) followed.

She has also acted, as the lead in Menahem Golan's film Yamim Shel Ahava, in five Festigal shows and as Eva Perón in Evita at Habima in 2016, and she finished fourth in the final of HaKokhav HaBa LaEurovision in 2019. In 2020 she sang on Kelly Clarkson's I Dare You, and in 2025 she recorded a new version of her song Bil'adayikh with Noa Kirel and announced two shows at Reading 3 in Tel Aviv.
