5 HaOrgim Street, Industrial Zone, Eilat

A bar and restaurant in Eilat's industrial zone that brews its own Soof beer on the spot, behind a glass wall from the tables

The Brewery, HaMivshala in Hebrew, is a bar and restaurant built around Soof, the beer it brews on the spot in Eilat's industrial zone; its own site calls Soof the first local brewery in Eilat, and in 2023 Haaretz's beer column called it the first and only brewery in the town. Three friends who had worked together at the El Gaucho restaurant, Tomer Ankri, Natan Arutyunov and Yaakov Ziryukin, began brewing at home in 2015, named the beer after Yam Suf, the Red Sea, and opened on 23 February 2016 (yomyom, 2017). They built and fitted the place themselves, with brewing equipment bought in Germany, and in 2016 Ankri ran the kitchen, Arutyunov the restaurant and its marketing, and Ziryukin the brewing (yomyom, June 2016). The room is in two parts, the bar and restaurant on one side and the brewhouse on the other behind a glass wall, and its site describes a design that joins an industrial plant with original woodwork. It pours six beers of its own at a time, from a rye lager with honey and coriander to a porter and an IPA, plus a beer of the month, and a tasting set of all of them costs 38 shekels; it has also brewed beers for other Eilat restaurants, among them a lager with coconut, passion fruit and cherries made only for Thai Story. The kitchen serves bar food and full meals: cauliflower in beer batter, fish and chips, burritos, burgers, pastas, seafood, a beef stew in porter and steaks. Tours of the brewery and private events are arranged in advance, its English page calls it LGBT-friendly, and it is open every day, Friday night and Saturday included.

Sources disagree on these hours

These are the hours on its own site, and its Google listing, as its Tabit booking page copied it on 11 September 2026, gives the same. In June 2026 its site had it closed on Mondays; the site gives Monday its hours again now, while the town's tourism site and the ordering schedule on its Tabit page still leave Monday out. Rest, whose listing was updated on 1 August 2026, has it open an hour later every night, until midnight and until 01:00 on Friday, as its own site did in September 2025.
